Reliability Comparison of Various Power Substation Automation based on IEC61850

Abstract


Substation Automation System are widely adopting communication technology such as IEC61850 inserted of hardwired control which was earlier version of the system utilising simple communication methods. Moreover, the application of IEC61850 are increasing rapidly. This paper presents Reliability Block Diagram to assess the reliability of various substation automation system based on IEC61850 standard.
